Our team at United Technical College, based in Mirpur, has been tasked with a number of digital initiatives to make things easier to navigate around, especially for foreign travellers from UK. Europe and America who frequently travel to Bangladesh.
The digitization initiatives are currently being led by Ripon Malaker, who heads up UTC with the support and guidance of our UK executive team Ali Akkas, Shahin Ali, and Ashiqur Rahman.
Below are a list of some of our initiatives, some of which have already commenced, which excellent feedback has already been received, and we will provide regular updates as we make progress.
● Mirpur Bazar Shop Directory – We will have a central repository of all shops, including contact details and name/type of the shops.
● The above Bazar Directory will be repeated for Khen Bari and Sheramishi Bazar
● Contact list of all Bazar committee members including their details to be made available.
● Official Services – we will provide details of local land registry offices/ post office details listing out the services they provide and their contact information.
● Taxi/Transport – we will keep a list of all local driver services details (Car, Auto Rickshaw, and CNG)
